Tips For Saving Money on Your Wedding

Myrtle Beach beach weddingsIf you’re planning to come to Myrtle Beach for an autumn wedding you’re very lucky. It’s a beautiful area, especially this time of year, not only to vacation at but also to be wed and honeymoon at as well. There are many places to hold Myrtle Beach beach weddings all over the Grand Strand area.

If you’re like most people you’re looking to save money however you can yet still have a fabulous wedding. Following are some tips that will help any bride and groom keep costs down at Myrtle Beach beach weddings no matter where they’re held.

Have a wedding budget: Your wedding deserves its own budget. You should break down what you're willing to pay for that goes into your ceremony and reception. Be realistic and cost-conscious while dedicating amounts of money towards a particular category. If you need suggestions on how much money you should spend, we have a wedding budget checklist and wedding budget spreadsheet as a resource to you.

Minimize your guest list: The more people involved in your wedding, the higher your price is. Streamline your guest list, keeping only those who are extremely important to you included.

Rent , borrow, or buy used: If there's something you know you're only going to use the day of, and never touch it again, think about renting or borrowing it. Things that are usually used temporarily include the groom's tux, reception tables, and even linens. There are places online where you can buy discounted new and gently worn wedding supplies include attire and jewelry.

Wed off-season: Scheduling Myrtle Beach beach weddings during off-season periods will have you saving bundles on your accommodations.

We're often asked, "Can we get married on the beach?". The city of Myrtle Beach has a "no commercialism" law on the books.  It means that you cannot do anything on the sand that you have to pay for, such as a oceanfront Myrtle Beach beach wedding (this is only in the city limits of Myrtle Beach) however there are several other options.

We have our own beautiful wedding chapel where use of it is included in the price of five different wedding packages we offer. We have over 10 years of wedding experience in both North and South Carolina with expertise in planning romantic, memory making weddings for 2 to 30 guests.

Another option are Public Parks in commercial areas, by reservation. Weddings are permitted in public parks in the commercial areas of the city, with an approved Facility Use Permit. Contact the Parks Division at 843-918-2332. Shelter rental is required if a shelter exists at the park ($25 for city residents; $42.75 for non-residents)

The following is a list of city parks in commercial areas that would be lovely locations to hold your Myrtle Beach beach wedding ceremony:
~ Hurl Rock Park, Ocean Boulevard at 20th Avenue South
~ Nance Plaza, Kings Highway at Ninth Avenue North
~ Justin W. Plyler Boardwalk Park, Ocean Boulevard at Mr. Joe White Avenue (11th Ave. North)
~ Cameron Park, Ocean Boulevard at 27th Avenue North
~ Woman's Club Park, Ocean Boulevard at Haskell Circle
~ Futrell Park, Mr Joe White Avenue and Dunbar Street
~ Park at the former Air Force Base, Farrow Parkway or Myers Avenue
